Banbury Bulldogs play in the BIPHA Midlands puck league based in Lutterworth. We submit as many teams as we can in as many age groups as possible to keep the teams playing as often as possible.
A Banbury Bulldogs team plays around 30 league games a season.
The U16s have a lot more experience in the sport, and the games become a lot more competitive and a lot faster.
MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGER: Gyles Horner
Being part of our U16s team is so much more than just playing hockey!
We value teamwork, camaraderie, commitment, and an overall understanding of how a team needs to work together to bring enjoyment and success to all when playing hockey. Skills learnt to play as a team are real-life skills that benefit everyone on and off the hockey rink.
We’ve had some great games in the league this season, and the U16s team have taken the transition from ball to puck very well. It has been quite a steep learning curve entering a new league and a new version of the sport, but all players have enjoyed their hockey games this season and have developed well into some very talented hockey players.
With the end of the Puck League nearly upon us, we look forward to playing more tournaments and friendly matches over the summer whilst training and preparing for the next Puck League starting in September.
